Heart disease remains one of the leading health concerns worldwide, and women and children are particularly vulnerable due to limited access to healthcare, poor nutrition, and socio-economic challenges. This February, as we observe Heart Health Month, Chengeto Africa (CA) is doubling down on its advocacy efforts to promote heart-healthy habits and raise awareness about cardiovascular health in marginalized communities.
Through its Issues Pane Nyaya platform, CA is engaging experts, healthcare professionals, and community leaders to discuss critical heart health issues affecting women and children. These conversations aim to break down myths, highlight risk factors, and encourage preventative care.
Additionally, CA is rolling out community wellness programs, including heart-health screenings, fitness and wellness workshops, and nutrition awareness campaigns. By integrating these initiatives with its vocational training programs, women are not only empowered with knowledge but also with the skills to prepare heart-friendly meals and maintain healthier lifestyles for their families.
Heart health is a shared responsibility, and every step counts. This Heart Health Month, Chengeto Africa invites you to join the movement—advocate, educate, and support heart-healthy initiatives that can save lives. Let’s build a future where every woman and child has the opportunity to live a heart-healthy life!
